1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of SpeedGuard, the SpeedGuard website, and related services. SpeedGuard is operated by 17920318 CANADA INC. By using SpeedGuard, you agree to these terms.
2. Driving responsibility
Users remain responsible for obeying traffic laws and driving safely at all times. SpeedGuard is informational only. It is not a safety device, enforcement tool, navigation system, autonomous driving system, or substitute for posted road signs, vehicle instruments, road conditions, police direction, or driver judgment.
Do not interact with SpeedGuard when doing so would distract you, violate the law, or create an unsafe condition.
3. Accuracy and availability limits
Speed limit, location, map, and alert information may be inaccurate, outdated, delayed, unavailable, or incomplete. GPS readings can differ from your vehicle's speedometer. Mapping data can be missing or wrong. Alerts can fail to trigger, trigger late, or trigger when not needed.
You must independently confirm applicable speed limits and road rules. If SpeedGuard conflicts with posted signs or traffic laws, follow the posted signs and applicable law.
4. Free tier, ads, and subscriptions
The current Android app includes a free tier and RevenueCat-backed monthly or yearly SpeedGuard Pro subscription handling. Free-tier users may see bottom banner ads. Premium users are treated as ad-free in the current app code and may receive higher alert threshold limits and premium speed-limit fallback behavior.
Subscription prices, availability, trial eligibility, billing periods, renewals, cancellations, and taxes are shown in Google Play, RevenueCat paywall or customer-center flows, or other applicable checkout screens. Purchases are processed by Google Play and RevenueCat, not directly by SpeedGuard.
Unless a checkout screen or applicable law says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play or the available in-app customer-center flow. Refunds, if available, are handled through Google Play or applicable platform policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse SpeedGuard, interfere with its services, bypass access controls, scrape or overload SpeedGuard systems, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or use the app or website for unlawful purposes.
You are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, and app version reasonably current and for configuring permissions needed for the features you choose to use.
6. Privacy
SpeedGuard's data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. By using SpeedGuard, you acknowledge that app features such as location monitoring, speed-limit lookup, analytics, diagnostics, ads, and subscriptions may involve the data practices described there.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SpeedGuard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that SpeedGuard will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular driving situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 17920318 CANADA INC. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for damages arising from unsafe driving, traffic violations, reliance on inaccurate information, service interruptions, lost data, or third-party services.
8. Changes to SpeedGuard and these terms
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
